Project Management Intern

Small NYC video startup is looking for a responsible, proactive, self-starter to serve as Project Management Intern for website development. We're in stealth mode right now, but we aim to revolutionize the way people interact with television, movies and any kind of video while creating compelling content.

Part of this role includes 3 weeks of valuable, intensive training in Project Management. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience in digital media and web development project management.

This position requires 2-4 days per week onsite, starting immediately. Payment is $100 per day.

Role Description:
-- Coordinate between stakeholders and web development partners to achieve test and launch website
-- Keep track of project deliverable and progress
-- Set weekly project call agendas, lead conference calls and record notes
-- Maintain project management environments on Basecamp and Bugzilla
-- Manage calendar of delivery and keep all parties on schedule
-- Maintain masterlist of company logins and service subscriptions
-- Perform ongoing bug testing of websites
-- Provide feedback on features and functionality
-- Perform administrative tasks for content management system
-- Report on progress and remaining hurdles

Qualifications:
-- Mastery of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
-- Familiarity with project management software like Basecamp and Bugzilla
-- Knowledge of social media like Facebook and Twitter
-- Interest in media, news, entertainment and current events
-- Strong communication skills and maturity
-- Strong organizational skills
-- Attention to detail
-- Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging personalities
-- Deep familiarity with web 2.0 trends, digital media culture and web content
-- Quick learner
-- Mastery of online interactions and typical software use
-- Knowledge of web development process, coding languages, structure and jargon/terms

Added Plus:
-- Video editing and production skills: trimming, audio, edits, etc
-- Experience with FinalCut Pro, iMovie and other video editing tools
-- Personal interest in becoming a media pundit or broadcaster
-- Experience vlogging
