Senior C# Developer

Responsible for supporting the Futures trading desk. .

Major tasks include:

Developing applications in C# to enhance existing trading systems and/or to build entirely new applications.
Developing integration modules in SQL, SSIS,.
Working with the traders to understand requirements.
Writing functional specifications and working with the vendor or the internal IT team to make sure that the solution provided meets the requirements.
Develop test plans and test the new modules to ensure the software works are expected. Work with users to certify enhancements, upgrades & patches in UAT.
Supporting the applications that are used on trading desks.

Required Qualifications:

Strong Development Skills in C# and other .NET related technologies.
Strong knowledge of SQL
Strong architecture & design skills. Understand trade flows & STP for financial systems.
Strong knowledge & troubleshooting skills in Unix/Windows & Networking;
Strong communication skills. Ability to clearly articulate ideas, solutions etc.
Strong project management skills.
Self driven -- Ability to lead projects from initiation to completion.
Strong educational background with BS / MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related area.
Ability to work with various constituents – Traders, Accountants, Operations & Vendors
Ability to write clearly & document requirements and designs.
Experience in the financial industry preferably Futures but Equities, derivatives and/or Fixed Income is acceptable.

Additional Qualifications:

2+ years of Java & Messaging technologies such as JMS, ESB, MQ etc.
3+ years experience with Futures products
