We are a pre-seed, pre-revenue startup company about to launch an iphone application geared towards fashion retailers. We have 75 to 100 retailers starting to work with us through a partnership. Our database is build and integrated with our iphone app via Ruby on Rails and is hosted on Heroku cloud. We are also developing a web site that is static at first, but soon will integrate with the entire platform.
We need a Ruby programmer who can help immediately with the following:
- iPhone application HTML/CSS pages
- API
- back end screens for entering data
- managing database and app (maint, watching perf, handling any bugs issues that come up)
- writing reports to get data out of DB
- work with iphone dev team on new features that will require web server/db API calls
Basically, you will babysit the app during launch, and react quickly to any issues that come up, etc. Then, expand on the existing platform to extract value and evolve solution.
Job can be part-time or full-time, depending on skillset, fit and availability. Compensation is a combination of equity + reduced cash compensation until we secure additioanl financing.
