Fixed Income Repo Developer / JAVA

Responsible for supporting the Fixed Income Trading desk.

Major tasks include:

Working with the traders to understand requirements.
Writing functional specifications and working with the vendor or the internal IT team to make sure that the solution provided meets the requirements.
Develop test plans and test the new modules to ensure the software works are expected. Work with users to certify enhancements, upgrades & patches in UAT.
Working with the vendor testing & deploying enhancements to the fixed Income trading systems.
Manage the applications including configuration, security and administration duties.
Supporting the applications that are used on trading desks.
Developing Java and C# programs to integrate front office systems to other systems.

Required Qualifications:

Strong 4+ years experience with developing financial applications in Java.
Strong SQL Skills and strong scripting language such as Perl/JavaScript.
Strong architecture & design skills. Understand trade flows & STP for financial systems.
Strong knowledge & troubleshooting skills in Linux/Windows & Networking;
Strong communication skills. Ability to clearly articulate ideas, solutions etc.
Self driven -- Ability to lead projects from initiation to completion.
Strong educational background with BS / MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related area.
Ability to clearly document and communicate objectives, requirements and designs.
3+yrs experience with Fixed Income products— Repo Corporate Bonds, Treasuries, Notes, MBS, CDO, CMO, CMBS

Additional Qualifications:

2+ years experience with Repo products. Experience with Anvil, Helix, Finpro or similar platform.
2+ years experience with Fixed Income trading systems. Experience with ION, Winfits, MMI, Bloomberg, Reuters. Polypath or similar trading platforms.
Strong knowledge of both Windows and Linux
Experience with automated testing tools
