Front End Engineer
Brooklyn, NY – fulltime / permanent position

Responsible for implementing new functionality for a high-profile consumer website. Most projects have a strong collaboration between product management, engineering, and QA and you will be an integral part of this process. Lead and assist the development team in the coding, testing, implementation, and documentation of solutions, and collaborate with other technical areas to integrate the solution

Responsibilities
• Responsible for developing and maintaining e-commerce and extranet websites
• Design and develop HTML/CSS/JavaScript for Java/ATG software components
• Create and maintain web and backend software components for large complex applications and interfaces that are part of corporate internet initiatives.
• Develop cutting edge solutions to maximize performance and expand capabilities, scalability and distributed processing capabilities of the system
• Provide support for sites and applications for issues that are escalated from the primary support group for the internet sites and applications
• Ensure Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard Compliance

Requirements
• CSS, HTML, Javascript, Web 2.0, Java and JSP experience required
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks like jQuery, Dojo, YUI, etc
• Experience with these web technologies: Java, PHP, XML and AJAX
• Working knowledge of object oriented design and design patterns
